KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) — Governor Bill Lee’s Unified Command Group (UGC) announced that it is providing 300,000 masks across the state to municipal and county health departments this week.

Health departments across East Tennessee are offering free face masks to all residents.

To receive a mask, officials ask that residents drive to their local health department, call in and let them know how many masks you need. Officials said you may pick up one mask for each person in your family. Someone will then bring the mask to your car.

The Knox County Health Department on Wednesday will begin to distribute free face masks provided by the state.
