Knoxville’s first art trail would link Sevier Avenue to Kern’s Bakery – it has one hurdle

A unique corridor is in the works in South Knoxville along the rail line between Kern’s Bakery on Chapman Highway and the Island Home neighborhood.

Legacy Parks Foundation is zeroing in this year on creating a 1.5-mile art trail along the active G&O rail line.

Partly inspired by New York City’s High Line, it will draw from multiple disciplines, including landscape architecture, urban design and ecology. And it will be the first of its kind in Knoxville.
