Shape, scrape, bend, glue: A downtown Knoxville shop turns wood blocks into ‘Fine Violins’

Wesley Rule is on a “never-ending pursuit of perfection.” As a violin maker, he told Knox News, there’s always something more you can learn.

Although bow work and violin work are traditionally separate, this passion for learning is what got him into working on both.

He also repairs, restores and rents the instruments, making his newly opened Knoxville Fine Violinsa one-stop shop for violins in downtown Knoxville.

The shop is located just off Gay Street across from the Tennessee Theatre on Clinch Avenue.
