Should Knoxville expect a June heat wave? We’re no Phoenix, but temperatures are rising

The first heat waves of the summer have started to scorch other parts of the country, including Phoenix and Las Vegas, and it’s about to get hotter in East Tennessee, too.

This week will start out with below-normal temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s. But by June 13, you might want to keep a bottle of cold water (or a glass of sweet iced tea) nearby to keep cool as above-normal temperatures arrive.
