UT Knoxville moves ahead with no tuition increases, but budget remains in flux

University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has recommended no tuition increase for next school year, because of uncertainty caused by the coronavirus.

The chancellor’s advisory board approved the proposal for no tuition increase, which is part of the operating budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year, on Wednesday. It will now go before the Board of Trustees at their June meeting.

Because of the financial hardship caused by the coronavirus, UT is looking at no tuition increase at all campuses.
