UT Medical Center staff delivered 4,722 babies in 2023, an increase from the previous year

Thousands of infants were welcomed into the world at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in 2023. Specifically, staff said they delivered 4,722 babies over the last year — an increase compared to 2022.

At the end of 2022, UT Medical Center said staff delivered 4,430 babies. Staff at the Center for Women and Infants is responsible for delivering babies while also providing other kinds of health services like mammograms, cervical cancer treatments and ultrasounds.
