For the fourth consecutive week, the University of Tennessee men’s basketball team is in the top eight of both major polls.

Tennessee (12-4, 2-1 SEC) places sixth in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 Poll and seventh in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll, as announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Volunteers have now been included 49 straight AP Poll releases, 12 more than the prior program best, and have claimed a top-10 spot in 22 of those weeks. The current four-week top-10 streak is tied for the ninth-longest in program history and is the second time in 2023-24 the team has hit that mark. Meanwhile, the 49-week streak is the third-longest active mark in the country, behind only Houston (75) and Kansas (54), with Arizona (47) the lone other team at 40-plus.
